HOLIDAYS...

After lots of persuading I finally managed to convince my workaholic husband to take a few days off and we headed off a lovely break, just the 4 of us ... I can't tell you how nice it was and it was sooo hot, we spent three days swimming and relaxing. On the way home I did manage to sneak in a little detour to the Annual Fryerstown Antique fair, sadly the car was packed the brim with Kid stuff so I had to leave heaps of great stuff behind. I saw our friend Tamarah from SVJ who had a gorgeous stall packed to the brim with treasures..

Idyllic scenes at Fryerstown

Tamarahs gorgeous stall

How amazing is this? I saw it as soon as I walked in -with a big sold sticker not surprisingly!
Back to work today at the Vintage Shed, not too hard to go back there though...

Bye for now , Simone x

Out with the old- In with the......Old

Happy Friday Blog friends.

It's been a day of organising for me today. Sunday we head off camping for a week down at The Island, so today I cleaned and checked off all the camping gear to ensure we have everything we need.

I also cleaned out my lovely pink and green cupboard which has found a nice new home. It has been lovely having it here for a while...but buying AND selling is our living, so, sadly it must move on...

Very happy to have my lovely old green kitchen hutch back which has been out in the garage and really didn't deserve to be.

Life at the moment is consumed with children and school holiday activities and sleep ins (aaahhhh nice) so not a great deal of work is getting done, but isn't that what January is all about?

I am still listing things on ebay which I can do from home and i think i have mapped out every sourcing trip we can take over the coming year and even booked some motels already in preparation. Our sourcing trips are my favouriyte pastime and I really cannot wait for them to start again.

For now though, I will enjoy these last few weeks with my boys, particuluarly as my "baby boy" is heading off to school this year and I will, soon enough have lots of time to think about work.

Ahhhh perfect timing...7pm and time to pour a wine. Cheers all!

GREY LOVE

Its Sunday night , after a crazy busy day down at the Vintage Shed I am feeling a little bit inspired by all the wonderful people Bec and I are meeting lately- out and about on our travels and at the Vintage Shed, so I decided to blog !

I came across this image a few days on one of the first blogs I ever discovered  Decor8 I think I read every post the night I came across it ...

Grey on grey, I love it ... I use grey in every aspect of my life- I own more grey cardigans, jumpers and scarves than I will admit too, a little bench seat in my boys room- painted grey of course, chunky wool knit grey cushions, grey chevron gift tags I could go on forever!

On another note Bec and I went on a little mini treasure hunt on the weekend - our first for the year and apart from a little error in my navigation skills , we had great fun! Back tomorrow with a little sneak peak..

BACK INTO IT......SORT OF

Happy new year all- from the other half of Vintage Girl- Bec.
It's nice to come out the other side of the Christmas mayhem feeling rested, relaxed and refreshed!
A good week or two at home doing next to nothing was in need by everyone in my family and we all excelled at sleeping in, watching trashy t.v and sitting on the deck drinking wine.

With the new year in full swing I am keen to get back into it!

I just wanted to let you all know, aside from the Vintage Shed being jam packed with stock right now, I am listing items on ebay daily over the holidays whilst being a little confined to home with the boys.

Be sure to check in there regularly- and of course, contact us if you have any queries.

Buy something from our Ebay store and mention our blog to receive 10% off total of purchases.

Enjoy the week ahead all.....
